That's very good to hear. Sometime in the future, i would hope to have results like that. Right now, I'll just stay on the meds and just wait till its the appropriate time for a transplant. Were you a norwood 5 before this? Also, do you know how many grafts were placed on your crown, hairline, etc?

Hairmax Lasercomb

Has anyone in this forum tried using the lasercomb? I was thinking of purchasing it, but before I do, I would like to know the opinions of anyone who has used it. What I hope to gain from the lasercomb is thicker and more shiny hair. If i happened to get lucky, I would hope to also have some regrowt...

Question for Wassup

Wassup, I know the results that you acheived are very amazing. yet rare. I was wondering what kind of hair characteritcs you have and did you have a larger than normal donor supply? Also, did you have to use any body hair, or was it all from the back and side of your head? I looked at the gallery of...

Thank you, Dr. Cole. As of right now, I will at least add hair cycle shampoo and conditioner into my routine and hopefully that will help things out.

Do you think it would be even more effective for my hair loss if I were to use the laser comb on top of my propecia use (which I've been taking for 2 1/2 years)? Thank you.

Also, can I please have your opinion on the Hair Max Laser comb? On top of Propecia and Rogaine, can the laser comb grow even more hair or least significantly help on top of the previously listed medications? I want to maximize my efforts on treating hair loss, but $500 is a lot of money to consider...

I am currently using rogaine foam, propecia and nizoral. Would it be even more benificial to be using hair cycle shampoo in addition to that or would it not make much of a difference if I am already using the previous three?

I really hope it is positive. I seem to have pretty decent results from liquid rogaine, and I have also been taking propecia for the past 2 1/2 years. Then I immediately experienced some thinning in the crown a week or two later. Originally I thought this may be shedding, so I'll keep my fingers cro...

Dr. Cole, I switched to the foam about a month ago from the liquid. Ive been using the liquid previous for 2 years, but after switching to the foam, I have been experiencing some shedding in the crown area. Is that common and to be expected?

Shock Loss Question

Can someone please fill me in on what shock loss exactly is? Also, does all the hair lost from shock loss grow back in the next cycle?

I'll be able to send you pictures on Sunday or Monday since I am out of town and I dont have my usb link for my camera here. I wish I had pictures before I started using Propecia and Rogaine which was at the end of 2004, so I can see if there was a difference.

you told me your friend had a great experience with Propecia. How long has he been on it? Yeah, right now, when I tell doctors that I am taking propecia, their first response is, "what the hell for?" or they seem shocked. But it my hair is wavy and dark, so those hair characteristics help with the c...

I am 23, about to turn 24. Right now, I guess I am about a Norwood 3, but people right now cant immediately tell I am thinning unless they look for it. I have been on Rogaine and Propecia since I was 21. From what I read, most people at least maintain the hair they have on their crown for 5 years, o...

Out of curiosity, when did you begin to notice that the propecia and rogaine was beginning to lose its effectiveness on the crown?

That's great to hear, I'm really happy for you and your friend. I have been on Propecia and Rogaine for 2 1/2 years, and I have been worried about losing its effectiveness. I switched to the foam recently, and I experienced some shedding in the crown in the first month, but I hope that just means it...

How long have you been on Rogaine and Propecia, and has the Propecia stopped the hair loss?
