Thanks Dr. Cole for your response. I have read this reasoning for the ridging before. As you state, grafts that are placed that have not been closely trimmed of the extra tissue fat will cause the ridging. It really makes me depressed and feel like what a distarous result I got and what a bad doctor...

kenalog shots for ridging...do they work?

I have had most of my plugs and miniplugs removed from my hairline. Yet I still have pronounced ridging in the hairline. I have had some doctors suggest kenalog shots for the ridging. I am currently undergoing some shots every 3 weeks with my doctor but with no change. (I also tried a couple years a...

Beard hair to fill in crown?

I have severly depleted donor hair with many bad scars. I need to use all possible head hair I have left to somewhat fill in these scars as this is my top priority. I want to know if its possible to use beard hair to fill in my crown area. (I don't have a lot of body hair otherwise but my beard grow...

Hard to tell from Dr. Cole's response about using beard hair

Its hard to tell from Dr. Cole's response about beard hair if it is a viable option or not? Does is it coarseness and thickness limit its usefulness? Is there too much contrast between beard hair and head hair that it becomes noticable? Does it depend on how long the patient wears his hair? Does it ...

Ok to summarize - for patients with previous strip donor scars, C2G would be the way to go if they need to conceal those scars.

In addition, to help conceal the procedure, one should have their hair length at least 2 inches?

C2G confused

Okay, now I am completely confused. As I understood before, the previous options for FUE/CIT were either: 1.) the patient had to had his whole his completely shaved - which is $6 a graft 2.) the patient would wear his hair long and diffent areas/patches where shaven - which is $10 a graft How does C...

Are there any limitations to C2G in terms of hair length? Can hair be as long or short as one wants? Are any areas shaven?

Is there an issue if a patient needs to make sure they are able to cover previous donor strip scars after the surgery when returning to work?

C2G cost

Is the cost of a C2G procedure the same as a CIT procedure with a shaved head?

Chin/Beard hair in crown

I have very depleted donor area and was wondering if chin hair (I grow a very thick beard) would be a possibility to use in the crown area.

Is there a downside to using chin hair?

Graft right away or do kenalog shots then graft???

I have ridging from previous hair transplants in area that needs more grafting. I have had just about all the plugs in the area removed yet still have the ridging. Is it better to flatten the ridging with a series of kenalog shots and then graft into that area or just graft into that area right away...

I have ridging all along my hairline from previous ht transplants. I did have most of the some plugs removed from the hairline but the ridging still remains. -Is there something that can be done to get rid of the ridging?
