Temple Points

Usually we see temple points taking 150-300 on each side. Depends on how pronounced you want the shape to be.

Hair Charteristics

Voice, Yes, Norwood 2’s are good candidates particularly if they are older with stable loss. Better to treat this with FIT or FUE rather than Strip. It is hard to justify an excision for a small number of grafts. Euro, Patients with average or even poor donor hair characteristic can be treated suc...

Treating Crown Hair Loss

Apgr, Working inside an empty crown (with an otherwise non-balding scalp) is low risk in terms of shock loss. This phenomenon is just not an issue when planting in areas with little or no hair. There is an advantage to treating patients that have isolated frontal loss versus isolated crown loss thou...

1300 FIT Hairline / Dr. Cole & Crew

Dr. Cole and the team planted 1,300 FIT grafts in this patient’s frontal area to reinforce his hairline. In the before photos you will see a considerable area of vellus “peach fuzz” hair where the patient’s hairline rested in his younger days. The new hairline was designed around this vellus...

"Less is more"/ 1,400g FIT Repair/ Shaven Donor

One of the great benefits of Follicular Isolation Technique is that it gives patients the option of a short and tight hair cut. Often we see patients with extensive scarring from other forms of HT that cannot clip their hair as they would like. This is unfortunate, as often times the hair will look ...

Hair Tranplant Overseas

As much as Dr. Cole likes sushi and traveling, we currently do not have plans to be in Japan anytime soon. We are based in Atlanta with another office in Brussels. If you want to at least get an opinion, you might try a photo consult. After Dr. Cole looks at the case we give you a detailed report of...

Hair Transplant Candidates

The best candidates are European :o Eurostar, When we look at hair color we like to see a limited contrast with skin color. So, for example blond or white hair against fair skin will give a nice illusion of coverage due to the minimal contrast. In regards to hair diameter, course hair is obviously g...

On FIT Hair Extraction

FIT is really where it’s at for most patients. The moth-eaten term should be applied to antiquate open-donor punch harvests. It is does not apply to FIT due the minute size of the incisions and pattern of extraction that we adhere to. You have been misled about our punch sizes. As far as I can tel...

Hair Loss Solutions

Emanresu, Listen to me carefully; we are the BEST (just teasing you  ). Seriously, you are right to be cautious when researching hair loss solutions on the net. My best advice to anybody suffering with hair loss is jump on maximum medical therapy and hold onto what you have. It is good that you...

iostream, This is not a significant amount of miniaturization. This may not be a predictor of future loss at this stage. On the other hand, it may be an indication of very very early hair loss. If you cannot see it, that is a good sign. It seems you have a concern of doing work and experiencing loss...

FIT Healing and Hair Cycle

The first week of healing here really tells the tale of how graceful the FIT procedure can be. If we look at the progression of the photos, we see that incision heal by primary intention and the wounds contract. Sometimes we hear people claiming that FIT incision can increase in size post op. We fin...

Rowdyone82, It is good that you are using propecia and Rogaine together; they tend to have a synergistic effect. 30–years-old is an ok time to begin to consider HT surgery. One thing to ask your self is if you want a STRIP or a FIT. During a strip harvest a long strip of skin is excised from the b...

Internet Posting on HT

True Forhair, I hear this time and again. Internet researchers will often read this and other boards everyday for months or years. Once they find a solution, the impetus to post grows less and less. We are lucky as a practice though as many of our patient still allow us to post their photos and resu...
