BHT has not had cosmetically proven results as of yet IMO, and you should be able to harvest more than 3000 scalp grafts. $120,000, good lord, just shave it and be done with it for now. Maybe in ten years you want to re-evaluate. Get in the gym, get nice clothes, maybe even use that money for other ...

Yes, it is possible to start transplanting in the front and then leave a bald crown. The question is whether this look will be acceptable. Will this look scream you had a HT done because it is an irregular pattern. If your hairline in the back drops to a NW6or 7, the look will be unnatural if there ...

Dr-^^^, what is your view on coloring (highlighting) hair in general. If done occasionally, do you believe it is detrimental to hair follicles?

its seems to me you already have your answer. Seeing work done in person is very important and can be the best indicator of a good HT doctor. Make sure your research not just about doctors, but about the procedures as well. If a scar is bothersome to you, I would look into FUE hair transplant. Locat...

Well said. More importantly, take comfort in knowing that at 19 you are lucky to begin balding in the beginning of 2006. Advancements are made every month...live your life...you will have hair wherever you want someday if you want to.

I'm waiting to see my HL pattern. I plan for the worst case scenerio which means that I will have insuficient donor hair. I will not do a Ht until until BHT, HM, or antoher capability emerges which increases my donor supply. When I do get it, Im headed to Dr. Cole for FIT. I will only consider FUE. ...

It will get worse before it gets better. If your using propecia at 19 then I hope you have some visable HL to your eyes. Its powerful medication that can mess with young people's hormones. Propecia will help keep the hair you have, but don't expect much regrowth especially in the temples. When I sta...

Your on a good start with the propecia. Remember, it might get worse before it gets better. In regards to Minox, i think it really depends on your ability to stick to a regimin. Minox can be messy and irritating to the scalp, however many say that the combines benifits of the two togeter are greater...

Excellent question. Certainly a possibility. I would encourage you to read about the "less is more" article Dr. Cole posted on this main website somewhere. Basically it describes that when shaved down low, one does not need as many grafts to give the appearance of fullness. The greatest concern for ...

answer is no - unless you use high heat and blow dry for hours on end. You might see hairs falling out whenyou use it, but those hairs would come out if you brushed your hair as well or ran your hand through it. They were gonna come out anyhow. At least thats my take on it.

the future: hmm...my opinion is that the cost of FUE will not go down drastically until some sort of HM comes out. So, it wont be for a while. The procedure is just too labor intensive and there are still only a small percentage of doctors capable of such a technique. Ten years from now, I would ima...
