Just so I understand, what is it that necessitates the need for longer hair in the donor? Is it simply a matter of better hiding ability of longer hair (a benefit for me) or is it to necessary for the doctor to work in the area (a benefit for the physician)

If someone is not concerned about prior strip scars, is planning a small-ish procedure (500-700 grafts), but maintains a hair style of less than 2 inches long in the back, could he still opt for the CIT2GO procedure? It would just be nice to not have to hide out for a couple weeks to avoid detection...

I have used it for a couple of years. I think it has helped somewhat, but nothing major. If you have the money, it is probably worth adding to the arsenal....I'd also save money for future hair cloning implantation. Probably less than 5 years away IMO.

My understanding is that the excess testosterone can be converted to estrogen through a process called aromatization. This higher level of estrogen leads to side effects experienced by some men, ie sexual issues and gynomastia...The solution is to lower the dosage of Propecia. According to studies, ...

Three months and all is well... While the left side of my donor area may have initially grown in more slowly than the right, it looks fine now. I have gotten #2 clipper haircuts with no problems. As to transplant #2 growth, I think that I am just barely beginning to sprout. I am also about two month...

The grafts that remain are in the crown area and do not appear to be growing or falling out. I scrub the area pretty good during shampooing and maybe get 3-4 grafts each time...A little concerned because this same thing happened after my last HT. Many of the grafts in the crown did not shed or grow ...

OK, I am 4 weeks out and have lost very few grafts. I have been washing pretty aggressively, but they seem real firm. When should I become concerned?

Dr. Cole--- Thank you for responding. It isn't an infection, as it is returning to its normal color and is not really tender or hot. Shock loss is possible I suppose, as is overharvesting. It was rather thin in that area to begin with. Maybe I can meet up with you at one of your D.C. consultations t...

overharvested spot?

IHTI Staff--- I had a procedure a couple of weeks ago and have noticed that the left side of my donor area, above my ear, is growing in noticably thinner than the same location on the right side. It is also still quite pink in color, while the right side is back to it's normal coloration. Upon revie...

Crown Growth?

Dr. Cole and Staff---

I had a transplant a little over six months ago that is growing out fine, with the exception of the small number of grafts that were implanted into the crown. They never fell out, but also do not appear to be growing. Will they begin to at some point?

Donor Hair Regrowth?

Dr. Cole and Staff---

I had a transplant 6 months ago and have gotten a few bumps or pimples in my donor area. Could these be ingrown hairs? Could some of the plucked hairs be re-growing similar to Dr. Gho's hair multiplication procedure?

Topical DHT fighters

I thought these comments from Dr. Richard Lee, MD regarding adding Spironlactone to a current topical regimin of Xandrox 5% might be of interest: "Patients respond quite differently to the various agents that decrease DHT, so changing or augmenting your treatment regimen may still give you positive ...

Flying issue?

The below quote was posted on another hair loss forum. Any truth to it? Anything short of changing flights that can be done to eliminate or mitigate these effects?

blood oxygen levels fall significantly in pressurised aircraft and this can also adversely affect healing.

Xandrox OK post-op?

I have been using minoxidil for the past ten years and specifically Dr. Lee's Xandrox 5% for the last five years. Is Xandrox OK to use post-op or will the Azeliac Acid in the formulation damage the grafts?

Forhair--- I am currently scheduled for 1500 grafts in August. I had a consultation last October with Dr. Cole during his visit to DC. If after re-evaluating my particular situation with Dr. Cole just prior to surgery, is it possible that we would mutually decide to go with a smaller amount of graft...
