i wouldn't suggest using minox. I used it too early and its a pain. Mega men is a good multi, but any multi-vitamin will suffice. Really, there is little one can do to stop hair loss IMHO. Taking vitamins, supplements, creams and sprays are not going to stop MPB. When I first discovered my HL, I freaked out big time like I can tell you are doing and I purchased all this crap and my HL kept on going and going. In reality, there is little you can do to halt your hair loss. Either you have aggressive MPB and headed to NW 6-7 or you don't. In my opinion, I truly am believing in the effects of propecia less and less. This is from my own experience and I am progressing fast. Perhaps I'm not a responder. If soemone could have given me one piece of advice it would have been to enjoy your hair while you have it. I remember seeing the first stages of HL which was unnoticable to others and immediatley began to isolate myslef in hopes of buying some crap that will stop it and regrow it back and then I will return to the world. Well, its gotten much worse. I should have spent the last year or so out and about...but that is the nature of the beast. Moral: your 19, go out and have fun..enjoy the status of your hair while you have it! In know its easier to say than to do.

I c.. so u think that taking propecia is pointless?? its just i read so many articles and people saying it can reduce the hairloss.... it has dented my confidence big time..... (the Hl) I mean. I know theres no miracle cure. so u have had no good results then.. sorry can I ask why you continue with your course of products then? they must b doing something for you even a bit? thanks for your advice its all so daunting to hear conflicting views and people spekaing of miracle cures.

My post in regards to propecia was meant to put the drug in a realistic propspective. Many are fooled in believing that taking propecia will stop your hair loss in its tracks for 5 years at least. I don't believe this drug is nearly that effective. Minox actually has proven the best results with me, but the inflammed itchy scalp everyday is not a plus. I use nizoral to help this. This is my current regimen. Not sure if I'm going to continue with it when I shave my head in a few months.

You can buy mega men multi vitamins at a GNC store or you can google GNC and find their website which should have then for sale.

Good Luck

I think that Bradley has put it in a pretty good perspective. We are all hopelessly lead to believe that Minox, Propecia, Nizoral, Folica, etc will stop our hair loss and grow our lost hair back. The sad fact is that they won’t. The best thing that one can hope is to SLOW down the hair loss and buy some time in order to really do something about ones hair loss later(like a hair transplant surgery).

Recently there has been a talk going on how effective Propecia and all the other hair loss drugs and creams are. The conclusion was, and I would be surprised if many would disagree, that propercia and all the other hair loss drugs and creams can only delay the hair loss progress another 10 years.

i think ten years is a stretch, but you get my point. I feel it is ironic that many ,including myself, go on propecia for its benefits, but really never have anything to compare the results to. How does one know the results wouldn't be achieved without the use of the drug? I understand there are the studies and so forth, but I still remain skeptical - maybe because I'm just angry I'm still loosing my hair in a an aggressive manner. And in the mean time spending $ every month, and suffering from a decreased libido, possibly other side effects as well. Just my opinion and my experience. Can't wait for lthe time i can liberate my scalp from the weak hair up there....shaving is the answer to my daily headache struggles.
