This patient is a norwood 5. He had one session of FIT 6 months ago.
He received a total of 3219 FIT grafts in a 3 days row all in the frontal area of the scalp.
The patient also use "Hair Cycle as his post surgery treatment and reported an excellent healing time and fast hair growth.
The results are excellent and will be even more impressive after 1 year.

Awesome! Thanks for the pics. I really like what I see. What is the typical transection rate of FIT these days?

Another question/comment - I think that some would argue with the statement that this patient is a NW5 during his before pics. I know that the norwood scales are very simplistic and can be vague, but its seems to me that he is closer to a 4 than a 5. Of course, you would have much more experience with this than I would - but Ive thought this on a few cases presented here. Just an observation.

Could you tell me if the patient reported shockloss in the areas with hair?

Appreciate your time and all IHTI does for HL sufferers. Keep those pics coming!

Bradley

This is excellent, the guy must be really happy.

The pictures are very good, I would like a view directly over the top of the head but anyway it is still clear enough to see how much growth he has got.

The Norwood scale helps for a quick assessment .The difference between a class 4 and a class 5 is sometimes hard to determine.Usually a class 4 has a stronger density in the back middle scalp and and small or narrow bald spot in the crown.
This patient has a thin zone in the back middle scalp (Which make us to class him as a 5in the NW scale ) but his vertex is narrow(compatible with a class 4).We know that Hair loss is progressive and this patient will end as a class 5 shortly if no action is taking. To simplify ,we just class him as a 5 .

The transection rate in FIT is around 2 to 3 % in our daily practice rigth now.If at the beginning of the procedure ,we have 5%,we modify our tools to reach our goal of or less than 3 %.Just today we had an overall T rate of 1.6 %.

No schock loss has been noticed by the patient .He healed very quick and observed no or little shedding in post-op and fast regrowth;and we believe the results were influenced by the use of the Hair cycle products.
Thank you.

any pictures of donor and top? How much more growth can be expected?

It would be interesting to see what the scalp would reveal if this gentelman shaved his donor to a #1 after 3300 FIT.

Ive only seen a few of these pictures. Confuses me as to why sometimes considering the main advantage of FIT is that enables patients to do this if they please. I would expect from a marketing standpoint that there would be more pics from FUE doctors in general displaying this advantage.

Nonetheless, outstanding and I look forward to see one year update.

Thanks

I do not think any Hair Farming was done on this patient. His donor area was full and thus their was no need to restock it after a mere 3000 grafts.

I personally have not seen any final results from FITFarming, as many of our patient that have done this type of work are from out of town. I have heard from a few gents that the BHT in the donor is growing well. The question is, how much? Their is no reason to think these results will be anything but excellent...but I am anxious to see for myself! Smile

Hey FITLock, what is your estimated time frame that we will start getting results from hair farming?
Thanks.

Body2 - Some guys are telling me that they have growth w/ BHT in their donor areas already from surgeries over the summer...I have not had a change to inspect this though.

I think that some of these guys might come back to us for consult or surgery in the next 6-8 months. We will need to bribe them to show photos.
