Donor area growth 2 week post op?

Im due to have 1500 FIT placed in my crown mid November, and ive opted for the shaven FIT procedure (back and side of head shaven to scalp). Now normally my hair is kept longer on top, to cover the crown (plus Toppik) and hide the hairloss. And the back and sides of my head I have shaved to a number 2 grade.
My question is at what length will my donor area be around 2 weeks post op? A one grade? I'm planning on returning to work 13 days post op but It'll look strange with long hair on top, then a stepped wedge and a shaven back and sides. But if the donor area will have grown enough by the two week mark then I can blend it into the top. But will it be long enough at this stage, or will I need more time off work?

This is a very difficult question to answer because everyones hair grows at different speeds. I would shave an area down under your long hair and see how much it grows within your limited time span. Then that should give you a good idea of the results you will have. I hope this helps but if you have more questions please feel free to ask.

13 days is sufficient time for donor to grow. I got my crown done and just had to blend in the top hair with my donor area so it looks like a nice fade at the 7th day post-op. Make sure you use chortosone(not sure if the spelling is correct but it really helps heal the donor area quick).
