This 37 year old patient was a Norwood class 3V potential class 5 before having the CIT procedure. In 2005, he underwent a four-day CIT session where approximately 2650 grafts were transferred onto the frontal-third to restore the recessions. The hairline was lowered by approximately two inches to create a more youthful appearance and frame the broad forehead. A natural looking frontal hairline can be produced by the delicate placement of single hairs followed by two-hair follicular units.
The photos attached below depict 13 months of matured hair growth on the recipient area. This patient now has the ability to wear a shorter or longer hair style without having the linear scar from strip (FUT) method. Hair loss is progressive so the patient plans on returning to conservatively restore any further hair loss if necessary. We have requested additional photos and are patiently waiting!
Congrats to this patient on the impressive improvement!
