Dr.Cole ,
i was recently made aware of the policy of a certain HT doctor regarding the suitability of patients for the FUE procedure .
apparently , he charges a minimum fee for the day that FUE surgery is scheduled and if he deems , AFTER STARTING SURGERY , that the patient is unsuitable for FUE he will give the patient the option to switch the remaining surgery to strip . if the patient declines this option , they lose the minimum fee that they have paid ( apparently $4000 ) and surgery stops .
this seems unusual - i have never heard of any other FUE doctors doing this , and to be honest i find this idea quite alarming on several levels .
in your opinion , what specifically would make somebody an unsuitable candidate for a FUE procedure ?
and how can you tell this before beginning surgery ?
