hi there,
i took propecia for 9 days and experienced the obvious side effects, i.e impotency. i immidiately stopped taking them but it has been 4 months and still no improvement. does anyone know how long the side effects take to dissaear??? did anyone else have to wait this long??? are these side affects for life???
would be very grateful for all help. as it has been eating me up!

It would be very unlikely that you would experience impotence 9 days after taking Propecia. It takes at least one month to build up theraputic blood levels of finasteride. Finasteride levels also dissappear after 3 months of stoping the medication. You might want to consider a urological evaluation. If you are experiencing nocturnal erections, you are not impotent. One way to check this is to paste postage stamps around your penis when you go to sleep. If the ring is broken in the morning, you are functioning normally.
