Wanting scar repair but nervous

Hi,

I have a dilema, no doubt shared by many in my situation. I had a hair transplant seven years ago and it was the old method involving taking a donor strip from the back of my head. Oh, do I regret it....
Anyway, I have been left with what I think is a fine scar, certainly noticeable to me and sometimes to others. I use Dermmatch to conceal it and that does a good job but its a chore everyday to put it on and as my hair grows a little everyday I have to alter the amount etc etc
So I have been considering having the scar filled with hair from elsewhere on my head. My wife thinks I should leave well enough alone and I tend to agree. Im nervous, very nervous in fact, about surgery to repair surgery. So my question is if it is possible to have just a small section of my scar filled to see the results and if satisfactory, to then do the rest. I understand this will take more effort but I would perfer a small test first. Is this something that can be acommodated? Btw, Im in UK so would perfer to get this done in Europe offices. Thank you.

Absolutely. A test session is a very good way to ease your concerns and give you an idea of what effect the repair will have on the rest of the scar should you decide to go ahead with another session.

Here are also some links to examples that might help you:

We repair strp scars all the time. Please do not worry about that. if you are afraid, try a very small amount and this will give you a good idea about what can be done. it will also give you the confidence you need to get back on the horse.

FIT is a minimally invasive surgery. It is perfect for filling in strip scars. if your scar is fine now, it will require minimal effort and far fewer grafts than you might think.

Scar repair can be treated by grafting it. It takes 2 to 3 procedures to get it to a point where the contrast with the surrounding zone is not detectable. It takes more than one session because the blood circulation is poor in the scar and we need to graft at low density to start.

The new grafts will bring back blood circulation in the scar tissue and improve therefore the color of skin scar which will alleviate the contrast comparing to the normal skin surrounding the scar.
