FIT or Strip

About how many grafts can be done in one day with FIT? Besides the scar issue why would someone want to have FIT done instead of Strip? If you already have a strip scar shouldn't you just continue with strip procedures?

Graft numbers depend to a good degree on the ease of extraction. If you have already had strip surgery you can go with another strip, but with each strip you risk a widened strip scar. In addition to no strip scar FIT allows the surgeon to "cherry pick" the best follicles for the given recipient area. Overall FIT is a superior technology. Dr. Cole will perform strip surgeries and they will yield excellent results too, but FIT is superior to Strip. It really is that simple.

I don't know what about you, but for me slicing a thick strip of flash from my head doesn't sound too attractive. fue/fit is the way to go and Dr.cole is the best

There have been some individuals who have had some excellent strip results. Today with FIT, however, patients have the ability to have a much improved hair transplant.

1. No donor scar
2. Less "extra" tissue on each graft reduces the risk of ridging to effectively nil
3. The surgeon is able to "cherry pick" the best grafts for the area being transplanted.
4. The surgery is much easier to tolerate as it is far less intrusive.
5. With the use of FIT farming we are able to "recharge" the donor area so it is not visibly thin or depleted
